Faroese dance

The Faroese dance is a living mediaeval heritage without comparison in Europe. It is absolute common also among young people. At village festivals many of the dancers wear the Faroese costume. When they meet in wintertime to dance together they normally don't wear the costume.

  Once a year there is a dancing festival for children, where they can meet and dance together. This was in Eiði in 2010.
