Description
English: Theoretical space needed for solar power plants to generate sufficient electric power in order to meet the electricity demand of the world, Europe (EU-25) and Germany (de) respectively. Electrical energy being globally around 17% of energy demand (Germany 22%), the areas would have to be roughly five times the size for total energy demand. (Data by the German Center of Aerospace (DLR), 2005).
Deutsch: Theoretischer Platzbedarf für Solarkraftwerke, welche in der Lage wären ausreichend elektrische Energie zu erzeugen um den Strombedarf der Welt, der EU-25, sowie Deutschlands (de) zu decken. Da elektrische Energie global bei ca. 17% (Deutschland 22%) des Gesamtenergiebedarfs liegt, müssten die Flächen ungefähr fünf mal größer sein, um den Gesamtenergiebedarf zu decken. (Basierend auf Daten des Deutschen Zentrums für Luft- und Raumfahrt).
