This is an image of a place or building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States of America. Its reference number is 80001694.

Description I had a chance to visit Houmas House Plantation and Garden near Darrow, LA in November 2010 - what a cool place. Houmas House is a Greek Revivalist mansion that was once a major sugarcane grower - now it a major tourist destination and worth a visit - just walking around the garden is worth it, especially for the garden gnomes and lovely water lily pond.
