Summary[edit]

Description

Possibly the most elaborate floral tribute that I have ever seen on a grave. Whilst there are no clues as to who this may be for (other than someone's father) the neighbouring gravestone has:

"???? Forest Veuve GEORGE 1835-1914

Victor VINCENT Decede [died] le 3 Juin 1922 a l'age de 62 ans"

This comes from the same batch of French stereoviews, so is likely to be either Fontainebleau or Normandy.

The more I think of this, the more I realise that if this is the grave of the photographers father, or at least a close relative, this may be the one and only chance we have of identifying some of the other people in the set (more portraits from the batch to follow shortly)
