| Description |
English: The rock carving sites of Norrköping are concentrated to the area around the river Motala ström (2 x 5 km), which was suitable for settlement during the Bronze Age (c 1800-500 BC). But also around the bay Bråviken it is possible to find rock carvings, in the parish Kuddby on the peninsula Vikbolandet, around 15 km east from Norrköping, there are two sites. Near the farm Åsvittinge ( http://www.hitta.se/LargeMap.aspx?ShowSatellite=false&cx=1535594&cy=6491590&pointX=1535594&pointY=6491590&name=Kuddby 250:1&z=3 ) on the rock RAÄ Kuddby 250:1 there are 2 ships (137-158 cm) and around 50 cup marks. They were carved in those days around 2500-3800 years ago then the bay Bråviken came up to Åsvittinge, before the land elevation moved the coast line many kilometres to the north.
Svenska: Hällristningslokalen RAÄ Kuddby 250:1 består av 2 skepp, 158 respektive 137 cm långa, konturristade och tämligen djupt och tydligt huggna samt försedda med bemanningsstreck, och 50-tal skålgropar. Det är troligt att flera ristningar finns på den relativt sent upptäckta ristningshäll, de två skeppen är de östligast belägna bildmotiven i Norrköpings kommun. |
