فارسی: اسدالله بیات زنجانی زادهٔ ۲ دی ۱۳۲۰ مرجع تقلید شیعه و سیاست‌مدار ایرانی است. وی عضو شورای بازنگری قانون اساسی، نماینده و عضو هیئت رئیسه سه دوره اول مجلس شورای اسلامی و نایب رئیس دوره سوم مجلس شورای اسلامی بود. اسدالله بیات سابقه عضویت در شورای مرکزی مجمع روحانیون مبارز، مجمع محققین و مدرسین حوزه علمیه قم و مجمع نمایندگان ادوار مجلس را داشته‌است.
او از مراجع تقلید شیعه است که دارای دیدگاه‌های سیاسی و فقهی مخالف حکومت ایران است. او در جریان وقایع پس از انتخابات دهم ریاست جمهوری در ایران، مواضع تندی علیه دولت و حاکمیت گرفت و نظریات و تعابیری از ولایت فقیه ارائه نمود که با دیدگاه رسمی حکومت در این خصوص مغایرت داشت.
English: Grand Ayatollah Asadollah Bayat-Zanjani is an Iranian theologian, Islamic philosopher, writer and Grand marja of Islam. He published his objection to the velayat-e faqih (religious system in Iran) and claims this regime has nothing to do with Islam .
Azərbaycanca: Ayətullah Əsədullah Bayat Zəncani (1942) — azərbaycanlı din və siyasət adamı. Əsədullah Bayat İran konstitusiyasının dəyişdirilməsi şurasının üzvü, inqilabdan sonra ilk üç seçkidə zəncanlıların İran parlamentində təmsilçisi, eləcə də məclisin idarə heyətinin üzvü olmuşdur. İran İslam Respublikasının parlamentinə keçirilən üçüncü seçkidən sonra parlamentin naib-rəisi vəzifəsini daşımışdır. O, buna qədər "Mubariz Ruhanilər Birliyi", "Qum Elmiyyə Hövzəsinin Tədqiqatçıları və Ustadları" kimi təşkilatıarlın üzvü olmuşdur. Bayat indi Qumda din mərcəidir, onun vebsaytı İranda hökumət tərəfindən filter olub.
