فارسی: قرآن کریم در خلال 23 سال، از بعثت تا رحلت پیامبر اکرم(ص)به صورت بخشهایی، به رسول گرامی وحی شده است و آن حضرت، آیات شریفه را قرائت میکردند و تعلیم میدادند.
اکثر مسلمانان آیات قرآن را حفظ میکردند و بعضی نیز آیات را با وسایل و ابزار آن روز مینوشتند و نگهداری میکردند.افراد نخبهای که این کار را به طور دقیق و کامل انجام میدادند، به«کتاب وحی»معروف شدند که نام و شرح حال آنها در کتابهای تاریخ اسلام ثبت است. سپس طی مراحلی، آیات و سور قرآن جمعآوری و تنظیم شد و به صورت یک کتاب مدون درآمد که آن را «مصحف»نامیدند و مردم از روی این مصحف رونویسی میکردند.برای بررسی بیشتر در این موضوع، به کتابهای تاریخ قرآن مراجعه کنید.English: The Holy Quran has been revealed to the Holy Prophet in parts during 23 years, from the revelation to the death of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and he recited and taught the noble verses.
Most Muslims memorized the verses of the Qur'an, and some wrote and preserved the verses with the tools of the day. "Revelation" became known, whose names and biographies are recorded in the history books of Islam. Then, in stages, verses and chapters of the Qur'an were collected and compiled and became a codified book which was called "Mus'haf" and people copied from this Mus'haf.
