Satz 3: "Es stehen je zwei Abschnitte auf den Parallelen, die einander entsprechen, in gleichem Verhältnis zueinander (z. B. BC : B'C' = CA : C'A' oder BC : AC = B'C' : A'C'). Dieser Strahlensatz setzt im Gegensatz zu den ersten beiden Strahlensätzen mindestens drei Geraden voraus." 1)
Praktikable Beispiele für den dritten Strahlensatz in Kombination mit Zahlengeraden sind die Näherungskonstruktion eines Winkels in Dezimalgrad sowie die Konstruktion einer Dezimalzahl.
