Description
Italiano: Via Durini a Milano. Lapide con l'antico numero civico (432) della numerazione austro-ungarica, sulla facciata di Palazzo Durini (oggi Durini-Caproni). La numerazione antica (e desueta: oggi il palazzo è banalmente il n. 24 di via Durini) era unica (ogni numero era cioè attribuito ad un solo palazzo), e procedeva progressivamente, a spirale, da piazza Duomo verso la periferia. English: Via Durini in Milan, Italy. A plaque still bearing the ancient austro-ungarian number (432), on the facade of the Durini Palace (currently Durini-Caproni Palace). This ancient (and desuete: this palace is nowadays merely 24, Via Durini) numbering attributed a different, growing number to each palace in Milan, spiralling from Piazza Duomo (the city centre) towards the city edge.
