100115-F-2034C-022.Cargo is loaded on to a C-130 Hercules Jan. 15, 2010 before flying a relief mission to Haiti from Pope Air Force Base, Fayetteville, North Carolina. The Hercules cargo aircraft is from the 2nd Airlift Squadron. U.S. Southern Command is deploying assets to Haiti to conduct search and rescue operations, damage assessments, and transitions sustained Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief operations in order to prevent human suffering and additional loss of life.
