U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Tammy A. Von Busch, right, a public health officer and veterinarian assigned to high speed vessel Swift (HSV-2), observes veterinarians from La Aurora Zoo in Guatemala City, Guatemala, as they check the vital organs on a tranquilized male deer Jan. 9, 2012, during HSV-Southern Partnership Station (HSV-SPS) 2012. The examination was part of a subject matter exchange about the deer population in the area. HSV-SPS is an annual deployment of U.S. ships to the U.S. Southern Command's area of responsibility in the Caribbean and Latin America.
