Summary[edit]

Description
  • English: The baroque-style Main Altar in the Basilica di San Lorenzo Maggiore in Milan, Italy. The archictecture still reflects the original plant of the imperial paleochristian basilica built in 4th/5th century. The plant has been adapted, though, since the church and his (too) vast dome collapsed twice. Picture by Giovanni Dall'Orto, May 18 2007.
