Summary[edit]

Description
English: Pfc. Timothy Nichols-Houston, of Winfield, Iowa, and a combat engineer with the 832nd Engineer Company, Iowa Army National Guard, pulls the trigger on an M2 Browning Machine Gun, sending a .50-caliber bullet flying downrange at more than 3,000 feet per second. While Nichols-Houston, 19, has only been in the National Guard for one year, he fired the "Ma Deuce" machine gun for the first time as part of his company's two-week annual training at Fort McCoy, Wis. Some Soldiers were able to hit a target three-fourths of a mile away with a single round and no scope. (Iowa Army National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Chad D. Nelson)
