Summary[edit]
Description1961. Spraying acti-dione to test control of blister rust in sugar pines. McCloud Ranger District, Shasta National Forest, California. (32744069353).jpg |
Spraying acti-dione on the trunk of a pruned sugar pine crop in a sugar pine production area off the Bartle-Mineral Lake Raod. This chemical is sprayed to 1/2 the height of the tree or 7 feet if the tree is less than 14 feet high. This chemical has proved quite effective in control of blister rust on western white pine and this is part of the experiment to determine its effectiveness in control of blister rust on sugar pine.
