The Hillman Imp was a compact, rear-engined saloon car built from 1963-76 to compete with the Mini. There were many badge engineered variants sold all over the world. Available in Standard, Deluxe or Super Rootes Australia assembled cars from 1946-65 when they merged with Chrysler Australia, they assembled the Imp from 1964, a GT version was developed there. In America, it was the Sunbeam Imp and in France, the Singer Chamois Hillman Imp Mark I 1963-65 Hillman Imp Mark II 1965-68 Hillman Imp Mark III 1968-76 Hillman Imp Californian 1967-70 Fastback version Hillman Husky 1967-70 Estate Commer Imp Van 1965-68 Hillman Imp Van 1968-70 Engine; Aluminium 875cc rear mounted on 45 degrees.
