Description
Eesti: METSAÖKOSÜSTEEMI ÕHUNIISKUSEGA MANIPULEERIMISE EKSPERIMENT (FAHM) Metsaökosüsteemi katseala paikneb Rõka külas, Meeksi vallas, Tartumaal – SA Järvselja Õppe- ja Katsemetskonna maadel. FAHMi katseala on rajatud 2006.-2007. a. mahajäetud põllule, kus 2.7 hektarile on püstitatud 9 prooviringi diameetriga 14 m. Igasse ringi on istutatud 196 puud tihedusega 10 000 puud ha-1, ühe poole ringist katavad arukased ja teise poole hübriidhaavad (Populus tremula L. × P. tremuloides Michx.). Kõiki prooviringe ümbritseb puhvertsoon, kuhu on istutatud hübriidhaavad tihedusega 2500 puud ha-1. Kolmes prooviringis (H1, H2, H4) toimub õhuniiskuse kunstlik suurendamine ümbritseva õhu suhtes ning kolm ringi on kontrollalad (C1 ,C2, C4). Suhteline õhuniiskus on niisutatavatel aladel keskmiselt 7% kõrgem kui kontrollaladel. Lisaks on töös veel kolm open-top-tüüpi katseala, kus toimub õhuniiskuse suurendamine (H3), alandamine (D1) ning üks neist on kontrollala (C3).
