Olympic medal from the Stockholm Olympics in 1912. This was the first Olympics where all five continents were represented, with a total of 265 competitors. The Olympics opened on May 5 1912 and closed on May 27 1912. The medal features a herald proclaiming the opening of the games with a statue of Ling founder of the Swedish medical gymnastic system. Captain Osburn competed in three successive Olympic games and won a total of 11 Olympic medals. He won two silver medals at the 1912 games, 600m free rifle, and army rifle 300m 3 positions. The edge of the medal is engraved with , "C.T. Osburn, military rapid fire."
