Die heutige Form der Fassaden und des Innenausbaus wurden vom späteren 17. Jahrhundert unter der Familie Schnorff geprägt.
An den Fassaden des stattlichen Bürgerhauses gehen Spätgotik und Frühbarock eine eigentümliche Verbindung ein, was besonders an den gekuppelten Doppel- und Dreierfenstern, den Fenstergabeln und Fensterbänken ersichtlich ist.
Dem Innern hat die Schultheissenfamilie Schnorff eine Ausstattung verschafft, wie man ihr nur in Schlössern, Klöstern und Ratsstuben begegnet. Die beiden übereinanderliegenden Eckstuben sind mit schweren Holzkassettendecken ausgestattet. Nur in wenigen Profanbauten des Kantons Aargau offenbart sich der Frühbarock so typisch in der Kunst des damaligen Schreinergewerbes wie in der geschnitzten Holzauskleidung der Tür- und Fensterrahmen und im Eckbuffet der oberen Wohnung. In der Zunftstube im ersten Obergeschoss ist zudem ein Wandtresor mit zwei kunstvoll beschlagenen Türflügeln aus Schmiedeisen eingebaut.
