Summary[edit]

Description
English: The reliquary busts of Saint Bartholomew and the holy bishops of Maastricht being carried down the choir stairs of the Basilica of Our Lady in Maastricht, Netherlands. This is part of a church service in which the main relics of the church are venerated. It is one of the highlights of the 2018 Heiligdomsvaart ("relics pilgrimage"), a religious and historic event that takes place once in seven years and dates back to the Middle Ages.
