Summary[edit]

Description
English: U.S. and Philippine Marines tape off the beach to simulate the dimensions of a room while conducting room clearing exercises at Marine Base Gregorio Lim, Ternate, Philippines, Oct. 2. The Marines are participating in KAMANDAG, a bilateral exercise that increases the ability of the U.S. and the Philippines to rapidly respond to terrorist threats and humanitarian crises. KAMANDAG is an acronym for the Filipino phrase "Kaagapay Ng Maddirigma Ng Dagat," which translates to "Cooperation of Warriors of the Sea."
