  • Italiano: Le piante di papiro in Europa crescono solo a Siracusa: ecco perché a partire dalla fine del Settecento in questa città studiosi e appassionati locali le utilizzarono in esperimenti per riscoprire il metodo di fabbricazione degli antichi papiri. Questa è una replica ottocentesca fatta da Luigi Malerba dalla Epistola agli Efesini di San Paolo, su papiro moderno.   • English: Papyrus plants in Europe only grow at Syracuse: this is why beginning with late 18th century in this town experiments were made to re-discover the method used in ancient times to crete papyrus paper. Here is a 19th-century papyrus, showing the replica of an ancient copy by Luigi Malerba from a text by Saint Paul.
