English: Christopher Zielinski, collections manager, 1st Infantry Division Museum, shows off a unique 1st ID patch to 1st Sgt. Jason Williams, HHC 4th MEB 1st Sgt. and Master Sgt. Tim Murchison, 4th MEB Fires Cell non-commissioned officer in charge. The patch held by Zielinski accompanied astronaut Michael Collins, command module pilot for Apollo 11, while Collins orbited the moon in July 1969. The crew which also consisted of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin made the first manned landing on the moon. Collins got the patch from his father, retired Army Maj. Gen. James L. Collins, who served in the Big Red One during World War II.
