Summary[edit]

Description Three buttons from the Mailer-Breslin Campaign for Mayor of New York City, 1969. Both author Norman Mailer and columnist Jimmy Breslin were part of a movement to separate New York City from the rest of New York State thus transforming the city into the 51st State of the United States.
