Description
English: After 24-hours, this inoculated MacConkey agar culture plate cultivated colonial growth of Gram-negative, rod-shaped, and facultatively anaerobic, Kluyvera ascorbata bacteria. This culture was used in a presentation involving the description of the steps taken when attempting to define a new taxonomic species. The culturing of a new organism, using different agar media, photomicrographs, and chemical analyses are all tools used in the taxonomic investigative process.
