Summary[edit]

Description 80-CF-8664-8: A U.S. Navy base in Britain. When the Navy presented a plan for officers and men to purchase War Bonds each month by allotting a part of their pay, Machinist’s Mate Leon Lizotte gave powerful impetus to the sale of bonds by posting this sign on his bull dozer. Lizotte is a member of a Navy Construction Battalion whose job is to build, maintain and fight. His battalion was signed up over 90 percent for the regular purchase of bonds, circa WWII. (7/22/2015).
