| Description |
English: A 'USA' tank at Oakworth, Yorkshire This shows 0-6-0T locomotive No 30072 about to enter Oakworth station on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. This interesting locomotive is one of a class of 14, designed by the United States Army Transportation Corps and built in 1942. In 1946 they were purchased by the Southern Railway in England, and this example found its way into preservation - the only one preserved, I think. |
