English: A 'lefal' or tunnel connecting both the Cefn Du and Chwarel Fawr Quarries with the Cefn Du mill. This tunnel was initially used for bringing slate for processing from the pit of Cefn Du Quarry, but after 1883 it also served as a conduit for slate brought through from Chwarel Fawr.
