Summary[edit]

Description
English: A Sergeant (right) and staff Sergeant (left) surveying the damage sustained during the Bombardment. The bombardment of the Hartlepools by Germany took place on the 16th December 1914. This was the first time British civilians were in the line of enemy fire during a World War. HAPMG : 1975.1.13
