Description
English: Fleuron from book:
A compleat history of the intrigues of priests and nuns. Consisting of authentick relations of confessions, and the lewd use made of them; including the Case of Miss Cadiere, with the Tryal of Father John-Baptist Girard her Confessor, before the Great Chamber of Parliament at Aix in France. To which is added, a signal cheat transacted by the Dominican fryars, as related by Dr. Burnet late Bishop of Sarum. Also the case of Abbee des Rues, now under confinement at Paris, for committing rapes upon 133 virgins. With the Case of Seduction stated at large in the Proceedings at Paris, from the several Depositions exhibited against him; with his Defence.
