The roof is vaulted with ribsin the true Gothic manner, but the buttresses whiclitake up the tlirust. of tlie vaults are the divisions be- tween chapels, and the external walls are kept highand of uniform surface, apparently with the idea ofmaking the church serve as a fortification. Thewalls are entirely of brick.
