Notes
  • Significance: One of the oldest houses in the area, and probably the oldest house now standing in Winchester, Abram's Delight was built by Isaac Hollingsworth on a tract of land obtained by his father, Abraham, in 1732. The house is an excellent example of vernacular stone construction. / This limestone, country house is an early example of Quaker architecture in the valley of Virginia. The main portion of Abram's Delight was built in 1754 by Isaac Hollingsworth, and it appears to be the oldest house now standing in Winchester.
