DescriptionAcorn AKD52 Hard Disc Podule Issue 2 (top).jpg |
English: Acorn AKD52 Hard Disc Podule Issue 2 (top). The Acorn AKD52 Hard Disc Podule is an ST506 hard disc controller. It was designed for use with the Archimedes A300 range which did not have an on-board ST506 controller. It uses the Hitachi HD63463 MFM disc controller. The podule has connectors for a single ST506 hard disc to be fitted with control and data sockets on the edge. There is provision on the board for a socket for a second ST506 hard disc to be fitted.I acquired the Issue 2 card from Mike Harrison, it is incomplete and is missing the podule backplane connector. |
