Nederlands: Identificatie Titel(s): Aeneas, Anchises en Ascanius Objecttype: beeldhouwwerk Objectnummer: BK-16545 Omschrijving: Op een vooraan onregelmatig afbrokkelende bodem draagt de naar links gaande en half naar de beschouwer toegewende Aeneas zijn vader Anchises op de rug. Deze houdt zich met zijn rechterhand aan zijn zoons schouder vast en steunt tegelijkertijd met zijn opgetrokken rechterbeen op diens gebogen arm, waarvan de hand de pols van zijn vaders afhangende linkerarm omklemt. Anchises' afglijdende linkerbeen wordt door Aeneas opgehouden. De voor hen uit lopende jonge Julus ziet naar zijn vader om, houdt in de rechterhand een kistje met gebombeerd deksel en drukt met de linkerarm het kleed tegen zich aan, dat van zijn rechterschouder afhangt en waartegen de omtrek van het lichaam afsteekt.
