Fotografía: Ángel Cantero | 19-11-2014 - La IV fundación de Santa Teresa, el Convento de las Carmelitas Descalzas de Valladolid, se abrió a los medios de comunicación. Las once monjas de clausura que viven en el convento, encabezadas por su madre superiora, la Madre María Capilla de Jesús, recibieron la visita, del vicario general de la Orden de los Carmelitas, Emilio Martínez González, acompañado por el vicario general de diócesis de Valladolid, Luis J. Argüello; la consejera de Cultura de la Junta de Castilla y León, Alicia García; el presidente de la Diputación Provincial, Jesús Julio Carnero; la concejala de Cultura, Comercio del Ayuntamiento de Valladolid, Mercedes Cantalapiedra; y otros miembros de la Comisión Nacional del V Centenario de Santa Teresa de Jesús.

Durante la visita se revisaron las obras de rehabilitación en la ermita del convento y se accedió a la celda en la que vivió Santa Teresa y en la que se conserva el manuscrito original de su obra Camino de Perfección y una colección de cartas autógrafas.
