Notes The painting depicts the Election Sejm (Diet) session at Wola in Warsaw (between 15 May 1697 and 28 June 1697). The speaker (center left) is identifed as either Johann Philipp von Lamberg, bishop of Passau supporting Frederick Augustus of Saxony or cardinal Melchior de Polignac supporting François Louis, Prince of Conti as a candidate to the crown of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.
