Description
Deutsch: Das Annendenkmal auf dem Alten Annenfriedhof an der Chemnitzer Straße in Dresden zeigt die Kurfürstin von Sachsen, Anna von Dänemark und Norwegen (1532–1585). Es wurde 1869 von Robert Henze geschaffen und vor der Annenkirche am Freiberger Platz aufgestellt. Die Annenkirche wurde im Jahre 1578 erbaut, 1760 im Siebenjährigen Krieg zerstört, bis 1769 neu erbaut und brannte 1945 bei der Bombardierung Dresdens aus. 1992 bis 2010 wurde die gesamte Kirche generalsaniert. Die Statue hatte nach 1945 ihren Standplatz auf dem Alten Annenfriedhof (siehe Abbildung). Seit dem 20. Mai 2011 steht die restaurierte Bronzestatue wieder an ihrem ehemaligen Standort vor der restaurierten Annenkirche. Die Herstellung erfolgte in der Kunst- und Glockengießerei C. Albert Bierling in Dresden.
