Español: La obra representa la aprobación por el papa de la regla de la Orden de los Clérigos Menores, que fue fundada en Nápoles en 1588. Y conviene señalar que este lienzo procede del desaparecido convento del Espíritu Santo de la ciudad de Madrid, que fue demolido en 1842 y que ocupaba el solar donde en la actualidad se alza el Palacio de las Cortes.
