Description

Artisan au travail dans son échoppe sur le chemin menant au temple de Changu Narayan, situé à 6 Km au nord de Bhaktapur

Ce temple, considéré comme le plus vieux du Népal, est un des hauts lieux religieux de la vallée de Katmandou. Il possède un toit en forme de pagode à 2 étages. Il a été reconstruit probablement au XVIIème siècle mais avec des éléments architecturaux et décoratifs beaucoup plus anciens. Le site figure sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.

Un village est construit sur la colline au sommet de laquelle se trouve le temple.
