| Description |
English: Ashchurch Station: a view from the 'entrance' onto the Up platform, with the Tewkesbury engine. View northward, towards Tewkesbury and Malvern to the left, the main Up platform to Birmingham and across to the Down side and the Evesham line. This was the only entry to the station, across the Tewkesbury line tracks; the soldiers are typical of those days when the great Army Depot was a main source of traffic. Ex-Midland 1P 0-4-4T No. M1365 is in the early Nationalisation livery - with 'M' prefix. (See also SO9233 : Ashchurch: Midland 0-4-4T engine in transition). |
