English: U.S. Marine Capt. Brian Pierson, assigned to the 4th Civil Affairs Group, is shown a picture about the school’s history by the Dean of Students of Mucurapo West Secondary School at Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, during Exercise Tradewinds 2017, June 13. The Marines donated sports equipment to the school’s athletic program and conducted several assessments of the facility. Tradewinds, an annual U.S. Southern Command-sponsored exercise, brings together 20 partner nations to increase Caribbean security and the combined ability to counter transnational terrorism and organized crime, and enhance humanitarian and disaster relief capabilities.
