English: The neck of a giraffe is up to 2.50 meters long, weighs around 250 kilograms and is only held by one tendon and seven cervical vertebrae. It is a particular challenge to the vascular system when the giraffe bends its head down to drink.
Deutsch: Der Hals einer Giraffe ist bis 2,50 Meter lang, wiegt rund 250 Kilogramm und wird nur von einer Sehne und sieben Halswirbeln gehalten. Eine besondere Herausforderung an das Gefäßsystem ist es, wenn die Giraffe den Kopf zum Trinken nach unten beugt. |
