Summary[edit]

Description

Built as Auster AOP.5 TW519 and serving with the A&AEE and 661 Squadron, this aircraft came onto the UK Register in Dec 1953. It was converted to model 5D with Gipsy Major engine and the enlarged J/1N Alpha fin and rudder before joining the Rochford Hundred Flying Group at Southend in 1964. This and the next quite pleasing approach shot was taken at Southend on 28 Mar 1969.
