| Description |
English: A 5:8 flag used by the Guatemalan government to represent indigenous peoples since 2008. The colors are arranged cardinally and represent the Maya (white), Mestizo (black), Garifuna (yellow), and Xinca (red). The emblem in the center is the Maya character "Kaban", meaning "Earth", one of the days of the Maya calendar. This version has a square emblem and a straight horizon, compare with the circular emblem version. |
