Description This photo shows the base of Reginald Fessenden's antenna at Brant Rock, Massachusetts. Edward F. Perry, Jr., owner of WATD-FM in Marshfield, is standing next to the plaque. The tower that once stood here was used for the first intentional broadcast of audio over a radio transmitter, on December 24, 1906.
