Description
Deutsch: Das Berliner Abgeordnetenhaus in der Niederkirchnerstraße 5 in Berlin-Mitte, erbaut 1892-1897 als Preußisches Abgeordnetenhaus im Neorenaissance-Stil nach einem Entwurf des Architekten Friedrich Schulze. Der fast quadratische Bau besitzt vier Innenhöfe. Die Fassade an der Niederkirchnerstraße erinnert an italienische Stadtpalazzi. Das Gebäude wurde 1936 vom Architekten Ernst Sagebiel zum "Haus der Flieger" umgebaut und dem benachbarten Reichsluftfahrtministerium angegliedert. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg saßen in dem Gebäude an der Sektorengrenze zunächst Teile der Sowjetischen Militäradministration, später verschiedene Behörden und Institutionen der DDR, so zunächst der Ministerrat, später Teile der Akademie der Wissenschaften. Seit dem Umbau durch die Architektengemeinschaft Rolf und Jan Rave, Walter Krüger und Marina Stankovic 1991-1993 dient das Gebäude als Berliner Abgeordnetenhaus. Es ist als Baudenkmal gelistet.
