In season here from late July until about mid to late August. These are wild plants and grow in thickets. They have thorns about a foot long with a hook on the end and the canes reach out for passers-by. The berries have significant seeds that stick in between your teeth and remind you for long periods (maybe even days) that you've eaten something good
