Svenska: Illustration från sidan 154 i Wärend och Wirdarne (1863) av Gunnar Olof Hyltén-Cavallius. Bildtext: "Blotstenarne vid Sgfrids-källan, på Östrabo backe." Ur boken: "Blotstenarne eller Blothällarne voro gerna af en ofvan något afplattad form, för att bättre qvarhålla det å dem utgjutna offerblodet. För samma ändamål insvarfvade man å dem äfven små, runda eller ovala fördjupningar, om 1 a 2 tums djup och ungefär lika tvärmått. De trenne blotstenar, hvilka i Wärend finnas bibehållna, hafva alla dylika små hålor klumpigt insvarfvade; nemligen två ibland dem, hvardera tre små hålor, och den tredje sju likadana fördjupningar, på sätt närstående teckning närmare upplyser. Alla tre stenarne ligga på sluttningen af Östrabo backe, invid Wexiö, hvarest efter all anledning fordom varit en helgelund, och de finnas inom ett afstånd af 30 till 35 steg ifrån den gamla, nu igenfyllda Sigfrids-källan." |
