Description
Deutsch: Blumenwiese im Mittleren Jura auf Kalkboden. Diese auf der Schwäbischen Alb und bis zu den Ausläufern des Albtraufs häufigen, einmalig oder gar nicht gemähten Wiesen, wachsen sehr hoch. Wenn länger keine, oder nur extensive Landwirtschaft (z. B. Wanderschäferei) betrieben wird, gedeihen hier zahlreiche Grasarten, Blumen - auch gefährdete Pflanzenarten. Solche Habitate sind auch ein wichtiges Ökosystem für eine Fülle von Insektenarten und anderem Kleingetier (Artenvielfalt).

English: A flower meadow on Brown Jurassic ground. Although the soil may be thin or basic, as on chalk or limestone, when not cut or only once per year, a wide array of grass plants and wildflowers grow on such habitats. The meadows are of utmost importance to insects. The diversity throughout a years circle can be impressive.
