Description
English: Oil on panel depiction of the coronation of Christ and the Virgin by God the Father, from an altarpiece for the chapel of Sant'Agostino, in Cremona. The figures are also thought to represent Saints Daria and Grisante. The altarpiece was commissioned by the Ducal family of Milan, and commemorated the saints' feast day of October 25, which was also the anniversary of Francesco Sforza and Bianca Maria Visconti, married in 1441. The panel currently resides in the Museo Civico Ala Ponzone, in Cremona.
