Description
English: Bowl barrow on Beaulieu Hilltop Heath, New Forest The gorse bushes are growing on the mound of a bronze-age bowl barrow. According to the EH record of scheduled monuments this barrow is 24 metres in diameter and up to 1.4 metres high. It is a prominent feature on this very flat piece of Beaulieu Hilltop Heath. The chimneys in the distance are at the Fawley oil refinery, a few miles away to the east.
